Every morning as I wake up, I think in my mind “I’ll be rich… I’ll be rich… I’ll be rich…” with the intent of making it happen (I’ve heard this actually works!!!). I keep on thinking this mantra a few billion times until my thoughts become electromagnetic radiation which is then captured by the Arecibo Radio Telescope in PR, where the SETI program logs it as possible proof of extraterrestrial life. Some of my friends actually think I am from another planet, so I haven’t called the Radio Telescope to tell them they are mistaken.
I am not alone, though. Millions and millions of human beings want to be rich. The question is why? Why on Earth do we want it so bad? Because we don’t have it? Those who do have it, want it even more! Because then we can buy everything we want? Thanks to credit cards, that is close to possible now! Because we want to pay for our credit cards? That could be it… Still, I believe it has to do with being free!
Yes! We live the illusion that by being rich we would be free. That every morning as we wake up, our butts would move at our command, not somebody else’s. Unfortunately, and according to my Laws of Puppetry, this is not possible. Freedom and being rich hardly come together! How could this be?
If you are rich, not only do you want to be richer, but now you have to work harder in order not to loose your richness! People say the first million is the hardest. This is true, but maintaining it is no child’s play either. Lots of people have been millionaires and then lost it all! Most likely because they thought they were free. ERRRNNN!!! (that’s the sound of the “You are mistaken” horn). “Ooohhh yes! I am rich, now I can buy whatever I want and never work!”, is what they say. My advice to you, if this is your train of thought, is to buy a tent. This will be your gorgeous house a few years from now. Tents nowadays come with compartments, so you may rent some space to your I-Am-Rich-Lets-Spend-It-All buddies.
So how can we be free? First of all, have in mind that freedom does not exist today. I don’t think it ever existed, but that is unimportant as we are living on today, not on yesterday. To be free, you would need to at least have everything you need (not to mention what you want). Stuff that you need are a roof, utilities (unless you are Amish), some form of transportation (unless your legs are more than enough), some form of entertainment (there is no unless here), but most importantly, food! I may have left food for last, but this is the only true most! You can live without a roof, utilities, transportation and entertainment, but not without the food.
All of these things cost money, which is why we want to get rich in the first place. But as we get richer and we fill these needs (and wants) then we have to work harder and freedom slips away. There has to be an in between in which we can get both, right?
And yes there is! The trick is not wanting to be rich in money, but rich in freedom! “What the hell is this crap” you must be saying? “I want to be rich in money, then I’ll be rich in freedom as well. Heck! I’ll buy it!” Have you not read the previous paragraphs?
Recipe for Being Rich in Freedom
Here is what I think will get you to be happy as you are free to do what you want:
- Forget about money as the savior. The true savior is having the day to yourself, not some other retard who thinks he knows what you want (which is impossible unless you have a Siamese twin sharing your brain)!
- While you work for your enslaver, buy everything you think you’ll need to be happy and spend your free time with (it could be a 15K bike, a nice boat, a race car, or a home recording studio). This will be your joy once you are free. Make sure you don’t buy on credit cards or all is lost! It must be yours!
- Add up how much you truly need to live. Forget in here about your dreams and all that crap that will not make you happy anyway as once you have it, now you want something else. We are talking about how much money you need to eat, have some fun with your buddies a few times a month, and survive by yourself. If it is 2K, then write it down “I need 2K a month to pay for house, car, utilities, entertainment and food” Get rid of all the crap you truly do not need like extra cell phones, idiotic and cluttering subscriptions, etc.
- Look for a way to get this income with very little work. It could be selling stuff on ebay. Or it could be something related to your hobby. But my recommendation is for you to get some savings before you quit your enslaver and use this money for trading in such a way that you get your 2K a month. It could be real state, the stock market, goods transference, Network Marketing, etc.
If you manage to do this, you will feel like rich (although you will not truly be) but most importantly BE FREE!
Are you aware that the reason we buy so many gadgets is so that we can feel happy because our jobs make us feel miserable? MP3 players, digital cameras, DVD players, computers, etc. We just buy and keep buying these because after an annoying day at work, we feel like spending this money will make us fill better! Hence we look for jobs that will pay more so that we can buy more. But this higher paying job will demand more, make us feel crappier, and then we will need more. The cycle repeats!!! How can we be so moronic?
We don’t need all that money. We need money, just not as much as we think. But what we need, is to be free!
