Puppets and the Puppeteer

Chances are you grew up and knew about Pinocchio. What a fascinating story! It looks like one of those wonderful Walt Disney’s creations (although it was written by Carlo Collodi on 1881 and 1883). In this story a puppeteer, Gepetto, builds this gorgeous boy-like puppet and because he has never had a son, the fairy gives life to the puppet. But the puppet is such a liar that its nose grows until it screws planet Mar’s orbit and nails Princes Vespa. Then, and only by learning the life long lesson that lying is not appropriate, the puppet is then allowed to become a flesh and blood boy. The puppeteer is so happy!

Little do kids know, this movie (or book) is hardly a fairy tale but a real metaphor of what lies ahead! Oh yes my friends, we are all puppets and although our noses will not grow as we lie the smithereens out of us, there are a few cords connecting our butt to the puppeteer's true will.

You may be thinking I am exaggerating. But think about your job situation. Are you the boss of all bosses? If so, then you are the puppeteer! Although there is a good chance there is still somebody pulling your strings... Everybody else, we are puppets. Every time as I get up from bed, is not because I want to, is because I have to! There is a string grabbing my neck. If I decide to stay in bed and say “Screw work today!” the string starts to pull and suffocation takes over. There is another string attached to my balls and another string grabbing the opening mechanism of an umbrella stuck into my butt. So as you can see, I better get up!

I am a puppet. I admit it! Whoever decides to hide this unfathomable truth behind the hair strand of a bold eagle, deserves to be puppetized! And why go through the hassle of accepting such a heinous fact of life? If ignorance is bliss, why not better go to bed believing you are in control of your life? Because not seeing the truth may seem like a little bit of a pleasure now, but will certainly grow against you!

Puppets do not need to remain puppets forever. The story is clear about this! If you learn the lesson, the fairy will transform you into flesh and bone. But what is this lesson? Well it has nothing to do with not lying because I bet a good deal of puppeteers got to said position by being the least honest possible. I am thinking the story has been adversely affected so that we can not learn this truth. After all, there can not be more puppeteers than puppets! This would clearly be unproductive and then the puppeteers would need to make puppets out of other puppeteers (which is what happened a few centuries ago, anyway)

So what is the moral of the story? Here they are in no particular order:

  1. Life is not fair.
  2. Chances are you are a puppet
  3. If 2 is true, there is at least a puppeteer controlling your life.
    • It can be more than one puppeteer.
    • I assure you God is not one of them. That would be good!
    • I assure its not the devil either. That would be better than the real deal...
  4. You can become a Puppeteer, but chances are there is another puppeteer controlling your ass.
  5. If you are the super-duper puppeteer of all puppeteers, chances are you are so old, you will die soon!

This has been another Avayanic Theory of the Universe...
